A MODERN DAY TREASURE MAP
Ever wanted to find hidden treasure? There's a map for that!
I've created a data-driven treasure map that highlights areas
in which the famous Fenn Treasure might be located.
Forrest released a map that shows the general area in which the treasure can be found. This general area,
however, is vast, covering Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. I used known clues, along with
explicitly stated educated speculation to delineate regions in which the treasure is likely to be found.
The map is a starting point for those adventurous souls who are brave enough to search for the fabled gold. To keep the map
as objective as possible, I refrained from interpreting the clues in the riddle and stuck with explicit clues given by Fenn.
The treasure is known to be between 5,000 and 10,200 feet above sea level, is near the smell of pine and sage brush,
and the many hints to water in the riddle suggest it would lie near some sort of water body. I hope to explore this topic more with
personal interpretations of the riddle, but I wanted to provide a good map for treasure hunters to reference that provides a good starting point.
